The Pelvic Tilt in Standing
by: J.Eveleigh

An easy way of learning the pelvic tilt in standing is to do the following:
- stand with your heels, butt and back against the wall.
- put one hand behind yourself in the small of your back, between the small of your back and the wall.
- tighten your abdominals and push your lower back into your hand

This is called a posterior pelvic tilt.

To tilt your pelvis anteriorly (forward), lift your lower back away from your hand.

Your heels, buttocks, and upper back should stay in contact with the wall at all times.
